# Capabilities

ERP Kit's modules hold the ERP logic. Each module owns its tables, commands, and queries. An app composes the modules it needs in `backend/src/modules.ts` and calls their commands from its own resolvers. See [Building apps](/erp-kit/develop/building-apps#composing-modules).

## Read a module's contract

To read a module's contract (its models, commands, and queries) from your project:

```bash
pnpm exec erp-kit doc modules
pnpm exec erp-kit doc module sales
pnpm exec erp-kit doc module sales command ConfirmSalesOrder
```
